About Christopher Rohe

Christopher Rohe previously served as the Vice President of Government Sector for The Progressive Group; a leading communications, IT and managed services firm providing advanced technology globally. Christopher Rohe also served as advising President of Government and International Affairs for Monday Motorbikes (Monday) of San Francisco, CA. Monday is the leading next-generation, new, novel and transformative motorbike solutions company.

Monday is based on renewable energy/power, autonomy, has a cloud-enabled platform for mobile connectivity and was recently acquired by Segway. Monday was highlighted at the consumer electronics showcase and GQ magazine. Christopher Rohe began his civilian career in the defense industry as the Senior Business Development Manager for Advanced Programs at Lockheed Martin Missiles. He was also the Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Strategy for Stryke Industries, a transformative materials and manufacturing company serving the government.

In addition, Chris is also the past President of the Board of Directors for the 300-company National Advanced Mobility Consortium, sponsored by the Vehicle Robotics Alliance, and managed by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences. Christoper Rohe is a top graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

He also earned a Graduate Certificate in (Business and Government Relations) from Georgetown University’s The Fund for American Studies. Mr. Rohe has achieved DoD certifications in program management, business, cost estimating & finance and logistics management. He also holds a top-secret security clearance.

Mr. Rohe holds the rank of Major in the United States Air Force Reserves and has served for over 18+ years as a program manager/acquisition officer overseeing multi-million and billion-dollar missile systems development programs, technological innovations and specializes in rapid government contracting solutions for the warfighter and our country as a thought leader for other transaction agreements (OTA) or commercial based contracts.

The Secretary of Defense recently stated in a public forum that the government will use OTAs to the “maximum” extent possible. Christopher Rohe is also a certified general contractor (over 10 years) specializing in developments of regional impact and holding a direct 5-year cooperative research and development contract with the Army Corp of Engineers nationally to mature next generation technology solutions in energy storage, solar, wind, building materials, 3-D concrete structures, and advanced information technology for our nation’s massive forward operating base infrastructure and base realignment and closure program.

Mr. Rohe’s career, as a catalyst, has focused on new, novel and transformative solutions for the government “rapidly” bringing Silicon Valley to the Soldier and Wall Street to the Warfighter starting with his Thesis work in 2001 at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government sponsored by the Under Secretary of Defense under Mr. Ashton Carter’s National Security Policy program at KSG on “Commercializing the Way the Government Does IT Acquisition,” prompting hi-tech companies to actively engaged (as opposed to avoid) the government in research, development and technology maturation & risk reduction work for rapid government collaboration and adoption.
